This course on the Pentateuch seeks to give students an overarching view of the goals, stories, and meaning behind the first five books of the Bible. First, students will review the basic principles for scripture study and then delve into each book, seeking out the rich allegories, moral lessons, and the ultimate orientation toward truth, goodness, and beauty that these inspired books give us. Finally, understanding that Christ is the key to unlocking the meaning of the Scriptures (Rev 5), the course will draw out many of the critical moments in this part of Salvation History that find their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus.
